Eileen Sahlin

It took me awhile to realize that my perfect professional goal involved opening my own business and applying my experience to help other businesses and people achieve their goals. To become successful as they see success.

I have worked in sales, publishing, retirement living and public relations in the “for-profit” business world, and then in the “non-profit” world. (Make no mistake – the non-profit world is business as well!) During the last 15 years, I enjoyed working as a development director for two universities. My last position was as the Chief Development Officer for an international organization where I honed all the marketing, public relations, time management and customer service skills I had developed.

During my career, I:

• began, with a profit from the first edition, a new weekly real estate tabloid taking more than $2 million of revenue away from the regional newspaper,

• increased occupancy as the marketing director of a retirement community by 45% within two years

• became the first professional development director of a tri-racial state university increasing donations by 41%, the endowment by 30% and helped re-establish the university foundation board

• established the first dedicated development office for the College of Arts & Sciences and Center for Marine Science for a state university, increasing support by 25% annually

• established the first professional development office of an international organization developing programs, recognition services and enhancement of the endowment by more than 300%

I have found that a calm, organized, attentive approach to the business at hand leads to the achievement of success. I am interested in working with those who are striving to improve their business and/or their personal opportunities and to achieve success as they define it.
